Still have Questions?

We’ve outlined the biggest questions that come up for homeowners, property managers, and business owners—so you can better understand how the claims process really works.

Do I call Easton or my insurance company first?

Call Easton first. We’ll inspect your roof, carefully document the storm-related damage, and let you know if it looks claim-worthy. If it does, you’ll then contact your insurance company directly to file the claim, and we’ll provide the thorough documentation they need for review.

What if my adjuster denies the claim?

If your adjuster denies coverage, we’ll walk you through the report together. Sometimes additional evidence or a re-inspection can change the outcome. If the claim truly isn’t valid, we’ll give you an honest assessment of your repair options outside of insurance.

What does Easton do during the claims process?

We don’t file claims on your behalf, but we do everything else to make it simple: inspections, detailed reports, photos, and being there when the adjuster arrives. Our role is to make sure nothing gets missed so your insurance has a clear record of the damage.

Will filing a claim raise my premiums?

Not necessarily. Premium changes depend on your insurance provider and whether the damage is considered an isolated issue or part of a larger storm event. Most storm-related claims do not directly raise individual premiums, but it’s always smart to confirm with your provider.

How long does the claims process usually take?

Most claims take a few weeks from filing to approval, depending on how quickly the adjuster visits and the insurance company processes the claim paperwork internally. In urgent cases, we can often start temporary protective repairs right away to safeguard your home.

Do I have to pay anything upfront?

Typically, the only upfront cost is your insurance deductible, which is required by law. Beyond that, the bulk of the roof work is covered once the claim is approved by your provider. We’ll walk you through your estimate so you know exactly what to expect every step of the way.
